Create and view clubs and subdivisions

You create clubs or sub-associations under your association and see which subdivisions belong to you.

AdminBasic (free)Checked on 30.10.2026

Prerequisites

  • You are at least “Admin” in the association.
  • To see clubs: they are verified by your association.

Who may do this?

Anyone with the “create subdivision” right – from the role “Admin” – can create them. Everyone who may see the association page sees the list “Clubs & groups”; what your association sees of a club beyond that depends on its verification.

Step by step

  1. Open management

Open the association page and then “Manage”. The “Subdivisions” tab says “Everything below {name}.”

  2. Create a new subdivision

Use “Create club” or “Create association” to reach the creation form, with the parent already set. Groups are created by the club, not by the association.

  3. Check the result

A club or sub-association that your association creates itself is verified by you from the start. It can end that later on its own.

  4. View the list “Clubs & groups”

On the association page, “Clubs & groups” shows the subdivisions with target group and member count. The tab “Managed groups” only shows those where you are leadership yourself.

  5. Understand unverified clubs

An association only lists clubs that have confirmed their membership. Leadership additionally sees only the number of unverified subdivisions (“{n} more not verified (not visible)”).

You can find the feature here: /organisation/{slug}/verwalten?tab=gliederung

Common errors and solutions

The “Create club” button is missing.
You do not have the role “Admin” or higher in the association. Ask the owner for the role.
A club is not in the list although it says it is a member.
It has not yet confirmed the verification. Ask it to do so (see “Verify clubs and obtain consent”).
You cannot create another level below a group.
This is by design: “No further level is intended below a group.”

Good to know

  • Every subdivision has its own visibility; non-public groups do not appear in the list for outsiders.
  • Rights from the association apply one level weaker in the subdivision – see “Understand roles in an association”.
