Map in search: who appears and how precisely?

   Open the map

   Open “Search” and choose the map view for clubs, events or people. The map data comes from our own servers; nothing is loaded from third parties. The list below the map always shows the same results.

   Appear on the map yourself (optional)

   Open “Settings → Discoverability” and choose who may see you under “Show on the map”. The default is nobody. You appear only with your name, at most to street level (about 100 m), never with a house number and never “on the internet”. Choosing “nobody” removes your point immediately.

   Set a club's precise location (leadership)

   In the organization settings, “Who sees the precise location on the map?” decides who sees street and house number as an exact point. Everyone else only sees the town. Do not enter a private address if it should not be shown.

I do not appear on the map.

Check that “Show on the map” is set, that the main “Discoverable” switch is on and that name sharing fits the viewers. Your town must be set in your profile.

Only the town appears, not the precise location.

The precise location is only shown if the leadership allowed it for you and the address was found. For events, only at a public venue.

The map shows only markers without a background.

Our own map data is temporarily unavailable. The markers and the list are still complete.
