Prerequisites

  • You are signed in

Who may do this?

Everyone manages their own consents. For child accounts this belongs to the legal guardians.

Step by step

  1. Open Privacy

    Open “Settings → Privacy”.

  2. Who sees what

Under “Who sees what” you set, among others, “Be discoverable in search” (default: on, display name and hometown only), “Visible to search engines”, “Show online status”, the “last seen” option and “Notification for profile views”.

  3. Consents

Under “Consents” you see each one as “given” or “not given”, with version and date. With “Give” or “Withdraw” you change it. Examples: “Publishing photos” and “Information emails”. Terms of use and privacy policy are the basis of the user relationship and can only be withdrawn by deleting the account.

  4. Submit an objection

Under “Objection” (Art. 21) choose “Submit objection”, optionally write which processing you object to and why, and choose “Send objection”. We answer within one month.

  5. Deactivate the account

Under “Restriction of processing” (Art. 18) choose “Deactivate account” and confirm. Your profile and posts disappear from all views, the data is kept. As soon as you sign in again, your account is back.

You can find the feature here: /einstellungen/datenschutz
