Verein verifizieren

Show transcript

Prerequisites

  • You are owner or administrator of your club.
  • You know the identifier of the association or municipality (the part of the address after /organisation/).
  • The association or municipality has enabled verification (this costs nothing).

Who may do this?

Plan, verification and invoice items are visible only to owners and administrators of the organization itself, not to the association above it. Everyone else does not see the “Membership and verification” page.

Step by step

  1. Open the page

In club life switch to “Leadership” and under “Manage members” open “Membership and verification”.

  2. Ask the association or municipality

Under “Ask an association or municipality for verification” enter the page identifier (for example kennung-des-verbands) and click “Ask”. “Request sent. It takes effect as soon as the leadership there agrees.” appears.

  3. Wait for approval

The leadership of the association or municipality decides. A verification is always a request that the other side must confirm. Until then you can take the request back with “Withdraw request”.

  4. Answer a request from an association

If an association or municipality asks you, the request appears here. Click “Agree” or “Decline”. After you agree, your club shows the green seal on its logo and the line “Verified member of …”.

  5. Renew or end

A verification is limited in time (“Valid until …”). With “End” you take it back at any time; the seal disappears immediately and the issuer sees nothing more about you. Your data and functions stay unchanged.

You can find the feature here: /organisation/<kennung>/vereinsleben/mitgliedschaft

Common errors and solutions

“Association or municipality not found.”
The identifier is wrong. It is in the address of the page after /organisation/.
“Only for the leadership of this organization”
The page is not available to you: only owners and administrators of the club see it.
“Activation needed – to verify, verification must be enabled for your association.”
This concerns an association or municipality: at the top of the page choose “Enable verification” and confirm “Enable”. It costs nothing.

Good to know

  • For your club the seal of an association or municipality is free. Charges arise at the issuer. Club rights never depend on payment.
  • Associations only see verified clubs and their verified members. Unverified organizations stay invisible; the association only sees how many there are.
  • Verifying members is voluntary; each person must agree themselves and can withdraw at any time. Voting rights in the club never depend on it.
