Change an event, invite people or cancel the event
You change time, place or settings of an event, invite members individually or cancel the event; everyone who accepted is notified.

Prerequisites
- You created the event, or you have the permission “Edit all events”.
Who may do this?
The person who created the event and whoever has the permission “Edit all events” (from Moderation up) may edit, invite and cancel. Events from a calendar subscription are read-only.
Step by step
Open the event
Open the event and in the menu “Actions ▾” choose the entry you need: “Edit”, “Invite people” or “Cancel event”.
Change the event
Choose “Edit” (“Edit event”). Change the details as when creating and click “Save changes”. If time or place change, everyone who accepted automatically gets a notice (“Changes are announced”).
Invite people
Choose “Invite people”, search members via “Search by name…”, select them and click “Invite”. The result says how many were invited and how many were already invited or not members.
Cancel the event
Choose “Cancel event” and confirm the question “Cancel event?”. The event stays visible and is marked as cancelled; everyone who accepted or is on the waiting list is notified. This cannot be undone.

Common errors and solutions
- “This event comes from a calendar subscription and is read-only. Please change it in the source calendar.”
- You change imported events only in the source calendar (see “Add a calendar subscription”).
- “Event not found” (“This event does not exist or is not visible to you.”)
- The event was deleted or you may not see it. Ask the event leadership.
- “The event was cancelled.”
- For cancelled events no registration and no invitation is possible anymore.
- “The changes could not be saved.”
- Check the marked fields and try again.
- “You do not need to invite yourself.”
- Select only other people.
Good to know
- Only members of the organization can be invited.
