Have your membership confirmed (verification)

When your club asks for confirmation you can agree voluntarily – free for you and revocable at any time.

MembershipBasic (free)Checked on 30.10.2026

Prerequisites

  • Active membership in a club
  • The club has asked you for confirmation (alert)

Who may do this?

Only you can confirm your membership, decline, or withdraw the confirmation. You never pay anything; the club or its association bears the cost. Child accounts are never verified for associations.

Step by step

  1. Open the request

Open the alert or choose “My confirmations” (My area → Membership and credentials). Open requests are shown there as “waiting for you”.

  2. Decide

Choose “Confirm” or “Decline”. You see until when the confirmation is valid and who bears the cost (“You pay nothing”).

  3. Withdraw later

With “Withdraw” you take the confirmation back. Associations then no longer see you as a verified member and can no longer reach you with alerts.

You can find the feature here: /mitgliedschaft

Common errors and solutions

“No open requests”
There is no request. The club has to ask you for confirmation first.
“That did not work.”
Try again; if needed, open the request again via the alert.

Good to know

  • With your confirmation, associations where your club is verified see you as a verified member. Anyone who does not confirm stays invisible to the association and has the same rights in the club.
  • The digital membership card is available only after the confirmation.
