Leave a club or group

Via the menu on the club page you leave a club or group yourself; the confirmation prompt names the consequences first.

MembershipBasic (free)Checked on 30.10.2026

Prerequisites

  • Active membership
  • If you are the only person with a leadership role (owner), someone else must take over the leadership first

Who may do this?

Every member can leave themselves. Parents sign their children out via the child’s account page (Settings → Child accounts → Memberships).

Step by step

  1. Open the club page

Under “My clubs” open the club or group.

  2. Choose leaving

Open “More actions” and choose “Leave club” (for groups “Leave group”).

  3. Read the prompt

The prompt (“Leave club?”) names which groups you also leave and warns if leaving is not yet possible.

  4. Confirm

Choose “Leave”. You see “You have left.” Your offices, shifts and tasks in the club lapse, as do your availability submission and trip registrations.

You can find the feature here: /organisationen

Common errors and solutions

“You are the only person with a leadership role. Please hand over the leadership before you leave.”
First hand the leadership to another person; for groups the same applies to the group leadership.
“Leaving did not work.”
Try again.
I cannot rejoin.
Rejoining is possible if the joining rule allows it; if the leadership decided to remove you, contact them.

Good to know

  • Leaving a club also means leaving its groups: groups of a club are only for its members.
  • You keep your awards. Fee and donation records that the club must retain (for example donation receipts) stay with the club without a link to your account.
  • If you want all data gone, delete your account (see “Delete your account”).
