Create a child account and set permissions
As a parent or guardian, create a child account, consent to the processing of the data and decide what the child may do and who sees it.

- For your child between six and fifteen you create a separate account. Open “Child accounts” in the settings and choose “Create child account”.
- First the basics: first name, last name and date of birth. The display name is suggested with an abbreviated last name. That gives away less.
- The address is optional and stored encrypted. You can simply skip this step.
- Your email address is already filled in as the contact, and you can add a phone number. The child gets no contact details of its own.
- Finally you check your details and give consent. You decide for your child, not the child itself. Tick the box and create the account.
- The account is created. Now you set what your child may do. Open the tab “What my child may do”.
- The default is strict. “Apply all recommended settings” takes over the recommendation for the age. Every change takes effect immediately.
- Under “Visibility” you decide who sees your child, and under “Communication” who may reach it. Contact always goes through you first.
- In the tab “Consent” you see your agreement as a record. You can withdraw it at any time. It ends automatically on the sixteenth birthday.
Requisitos
- Your own confirmed adult account
- Your child is at least 6 and not yet 16
- You are a legal guardian
¿Quién puede hacerlo?
Only legal guardians with their own adult account can create a child account. You consent, not your child (Art. 8 GDPR). We do not check custody against ID documents: you declare it.
Paso a paso
Start
Open “Settings → Child accounts” (“Family” in the navigation) and choose “Create child account”.
Basic details
Enter “First name”, “Last name”, “Date of birth” and “Relationship to you”; optionally “Gender”. The “Display name” is suggested as others see your child (“First name L.”) – that reveals less.
Address (optional)
The address is optional and stored encrypted; nobody but you can see it. You can skip this step.
Parents’ contact
Enter “Parent email” (saved as the account’s contact; signing in with it is not possible) and optionally “Parent phone” – useful for short-notice cancellations on trips and camps.
Consent
Check your details and tick “I confirm that I am a legal guardian and consent to the processing of my child’s data.” Choose “Create child account”. “The child account was created.” appears.
Set permissions
Then open the child in the list and set under “What my child may do” what it can do (see “Set permissions and approvals for your child”).

Errores habituales y soluciones
- “Too young for an account of their own”
- We create accounts only from age 6. For younger children the group leader records participation directly at the event – no profile is needed.
- “From age 16 this is no longer possible”
- From age 16 the person creates their own account.
- “Please enter the first name.” / “Please enter the date of birth.” / “Please enter an email address.”
- Fill in the marked required field; the email address must look complete.
- “Connection to the server failed.”
- Try again.
Conviene saber
- A child account has no password of its own and cannot sign in by itself; you manage it from your account. The contact details are yours, not your child’s.
- The profile is never public and never appears in search. It is visible only to people who share a club or group with your child. This limit cannot be lifted.
- On the day your child turns 16 the account automatically passes into their own responsibility; your management rights end.
- If your child registers by themselves, see “Give consent for your child’s account”.
